Tuscany Tradition and Innovation

Tuscany Tradition and Innovation

Italy retains dominance as the world’s largest wine producer owing in large part to the vast number of vineyards cultivated in every province of the country. Favorable Mediterranean climate over much of the country also results in not only high yields but impressive diversity in the variety of grapes grown.

Two millennia ago as the Roman Empire spread its influence, including its ever-present interest in wine, over much of Europe Tuscany evolved as the center of its domestic viticultural endeavors. Today Brunellos and Super-Tuscans are the talk of the wine world backed by the long standing popularity of multiple styles of Chianti.

This APBA masterclass on Tuscany will explore the development of this fascinating Italian wine region and its rise to global prominence among wine lovers.
